Ford Kuga DM2 dashcam fuses
Fuses
The fuses listed below have been used to install a dashcam on the the Ford Kuga DM2. The layout documentation can be found on the Ford Service Content Page . The fuses used in this installation are located in the front compartment fuse box below the glove compartment.
For dashcams that automatically toggle operating mode based on ACC or battery input the following fuses work well (tested with an additional 5A fuse for each dashcam line):
- Battery: Fuse 80 (Moonroof), continuously supplies power.
- ACC: Fuse 85 (Ignition Switch), only supplies power when the engine is running.
If the dashcam does only support one input either of them work.
Note that 85 may eventually drain your battery if no adapter is used to monitor the voltage.
Sample installation
Below is an example installation. The orientation of the cable is according to measurements made prior, it might be different on other cars (check with a multi-meter or similar to which pin the power source is connected).
